Check it out everyone… I got a new tattoo!
Now let me tell ya, I paid a hefty penny last weekend to get this thing [glued onto my arm]… I ran in the Prevent Cancer Foundation 5K! The race took place at West Potomac Park, right along the Potomac River in D.C., and was relatively small with approximately 300 registrants.
“Through registering for the 5K, forming or joining a team, supporting the 5K through sponsorship, supporting a participant or volunteering, you can make a difference in the lives of thousands, if not millions, of people by supporting cancer prevention and early detection research, community outreach and education.”
I had a great time running with my friends, cheering on the other participants, and petting many of the cute pups I’ll def do it again next year!
And now back to present day… FRIDAY!
Yesterday morning I ate the last TJ’s Mango Berry Muffin and cantaloupe so this morning I had to switch it up… I probs should have made a simple cereal bowl, but I felt ambitious and I was in the mood for a hot breakfast so I made some eggs and turkey bacon!

FYI: To cook the bacon, I popped it under the broiler [very early morning + very little time = very little effort]… Soon enough, the kitchen smelled like heavenly bacon, almost even a little maple-y?! After a couple of minutes, I flipped the bacon and finished plating my eggs when all of a sudden I smelled something BURNING and the fire alarm started blaring! I blame it on the bacon induced coma that I was in or the lack of sleep that I’ve gotten the past couple of days… The bacon was still edible, a little crispy but that’s exactly how I like it!
