Friday night I came home to a freshly groomed puppy, Ryan, and daisies – a marvelous sight!
Ryan buys me flowers frequently [cue the awww's] – they’re my favorite – so I didn’t think much of it until I saw that there was also a card…
A super sappy, super sweet card with a marvelous P.S. message at the bottom…
I was totally surprised! Ryan and I haven’t gone out for a date night in a while [between my tummy troubles and trying to save money, we've kept date nights low-key at home] so we both thought that we should do something special to celebrate our 6-month wedding anniversary but we hadn’t made any plans… Or so I thought 
Saturday morning Ryan woke-up to a marvelously super corny card – the back said “At least I didn’t have the cabbage!”…
And…
She gets flowers, he gets a 40, they’re one in the same! I should note that he doesn’t typically drink 40′s but it was a special occasion so a special beer, “The Champagne of Beers,” was only appropriate!
As you can see, the pictures are a bit fuzzy because it was dark and I was using my iPhone, but we have plenty of marvelous memories…

arugula salad *seasonal special* – arugula, marinated portobello mushrooms, shaved Parmesan, truffle dressing
artichoke & goat cheese flatbread *seasonal special* – leaf spinach, balsamic onions, roasted peppers
oak-grilled filet mignon – cremini mushrooms, asparagus, garlic mashed potatoes, red wine sauce
chocolate peanut butter mousse mini indulgence – chocolate cake, peanut butter mousse, chocolate shavings
ruby red grapefruit martini *seasonal special* – grapefruit-infused Prairie Organic Vodka with organic agave nectar
We were planning to cap off our marvelous evening with some fro-yo at the newly opened joint just down the street from our house, but it was closed by the time we got there so we settled for TJ’s fro-yo + dark chocolate chips – a tasty improvisation.

I will be honest I lost it while watching those dogs. Full on cackling. i have a problem. A big one. You know how cute i think you and Ryan are, so glad you got this time to celebrate a big six months.

We loved Season’s 52! I got the ahi tuna on a salad . . . . it was so good! Bob ordered the cedar plank salmon, which was also delicious. They even had the wine we served at our wedding, so we were able to order a bottle of that to enjoy.

You guys are adorable. We went to Seasons 52 for V-day a couple weeks ago and I had that same salad-it is SO good. I’m actually obsessed with the entire restaurant because I’ve never had something I didn’t love there. Glad you two had fun-Happy half anniversary!

! I’ve never been to Seasons 52 but am almost certain I would love it…flatbread followed by fillet mignon and then a PB-based dessert, each course just got better and better! One marvellous thing from my weekend was the burger I ate on Saturday night- just thinking about me makes me drool
